1960 With a fleet of 150 machines and a country-wide distribution network, IEMESA is consolidated as Spanish market leader
1967 The second generation of the Martí family take on the company’s management
1969 The first lace-separating machine using heat is developed and patented
1970 First exports to Europe, USA and South Africa
1974 IEMESA patents the first electronic machine for bobbin lace in the world, as well as its own design software, later distributed by Krenzler (Wuppertal, Germany), world leading manufacturers of machinery for bobbin lace
1978 An electronically-controlled machine for Jacquard cards automatic punching is developed
1990 With a fleet of 240 machines, IEMESA becomes a market leader in Europe
1995 ENMARGA, a manufacturing and distribution subsidiary, is established in Santiago de Chile to supply the South American market
1999 The first elastic bobbin lace collection for lingerie is released
2000 MESMONTE is established in Oporto to supply the Portuguese market
2004 The third generation of the Martí family joins the company’s management team
2008 Exports exceed 50% of turnover
